New Purchases featuring Ralph Lauren and Asos

I'm quite proud of myself this month, I haven't splurged all my money on clothes, shoes and accessories. Don't get me wrong, I really really want to but since I'm saving up for a couple of holidays, my bank account won't stretch that far.

I've been wanting a Denim & Supply t-shirt for ages as I always seem to be pining after one. So when I saw this one on Asos for only £35 (I have a slight obsession with the U.S.A) I knew that I had to buy it. On Asos, it said that the model was wearing a UK size small (which was a size 10 - XS being a size 8). I figured that if a model was wearing a size 10 then I had to be a size 12? Which doesn't really make any sense as I've never ever been a size 12 in tops in any shop. Ever. I'm normally a size 8/10. But I decided to order the medium (size 12) anyway and see what it was like and if it was too big, exchange it for the size 10. When it came a couple of days later, I tried it on straight away and it fit really well which was a surprise.

Ring

This was another weird sizing moment for me. I've ordered a pinky ring from Asos before and personally, I thought that my fingers were quite thin, but when I ordered the size small, it didn't fit at all. So when I saw this pinky ring, I ordered the medium hoping that would be the right size. I mean seriously, I couldn't have that big of fingers surely? My hands are tiny. I tried the ring on and it fit - just. It's a pain to get off but it just about fits. It's not uncomfortable but I sigh of relief unexpectedly when I take it off. So I don't know if the large would be too big or a perfect fit.

Asos - £5

New Trend Alert: Maxi, Duster, Boyfriend Coats

Paris Fashion Week is portraying the long lasting trend of maxi coats, duster jackets and boyfriend coats, shown on the runway by Chloe, Maison Rabih Kayrouz  and Christian Dior.

For those of us who can't afford runway prices, I took the liberty of finding us some alternatives for  a much better price. Bear in mind that coats are always expensive, so even though these alternatives aren't £20 and under, they are good quality and perfect to spruce up that outfit.

OOTD Featuring Primark

Even though English weather is terrible, it does have the occasionally day where it's slightly sunny. Today was one of those rare days - it was sunny for half an hour. I took the opportunity and dressed like it was spring (hey! Don't judge, I love wearing shorts!)

Parental Advisory Jumper
H&M - (It's no longer in stock, but if you're willing to splurge, Alexander Wang sell a grey one with mesh panels for £374.85)

As soon as I saw this jumper in the Heerlen H&M last summer, I loved it. Personally, I like my jumpers baggy because I love comfort. I tried on a small when I was over in Holland (I'm a size 8/10 in jumpers) and it fit perfectly. However, I didn't buy it. A few months later, my best friend bought it me in the medium (she knows me too well) and it's one of my most prized jumpers.

H&M - £12.99 (On Sale!)

I also saw this shorts in the Heerlen H&M and loved them. I've always wanted some leather shorts and these were perfect, the elasticated waist, pockets. Everything I could want in some shorts. They're a size small which is a size 10-12 on the H&M website. I'm a size 10 when it comes to trousers/jeans/shorts and these fit really well. However, if you love pigging out on food like me, they may become a bit tighter - believe me, it's happened to me!

Platform Boots
H&M - £29.99

These boots are yet another thing that I found and purchased in Heerlen. I bought a size 6 (because I'm a size 5.5 which is very awkward). The size 5 were ok, but I knew that if I walked around in them for too long, my toes would squash and it would hurt. A lot. The size 6 were slightly too big but I liked the boots too much to just not buy them. So when I wear the boots, I just wear an extra pair of socks and it works wonders.

My Neighbour Totoro Tights
I bought these tights at London Comic Con last October

Faux Fur Leather Coat
River Island - £85 (No longer in stock but you can find a similar one here)
I love this coat. It's warm and just brilliant. It's a size 12 (I'm normally a size 10 for coats, but I thought that the size 12 fit better)

Grey Small Satchel
Primark - £8

90s Tattoo Choker Necklace
Asos - £4
